The World Food Day is an international day celebrated every year worldwide by organisations concerned with safe food, food security, climate change, and environmental conservation, among others. People are mobilised and educated on better food production, good nutrition, food safety and security, and climate mitigation.
Cshep, in collaboration with Ngong organic farmers, has organised to celebrate the event with a lot of activities: an indigenous food cooking competition, an exhibition of organic inputs and produce, the launching of value addition ,talks on the importance of consumption of dried vegetables and how to reduce produce loss, and we will also have our farmers’ market day; hence, lots of engagements.
