Undergoing training on black soldier flee (BSF)

We are glad to be part of the team undergoing a training on black soldier flee (BSF) at JKUAT.

BSF is a common insect which is environmental friendly and is used to produce proteins(47%),fat, calcium, phosphorus and amino acids.

Benefits of Black soldier fly

Its a good substitute for protein for animal feeds

Its environmental friendly.

It converts every food waste into protein. A research was done at jkuat that when they were fed with maize with aflotoxin they ‘sanitized’ it.

They don’t need a big structure to start.

Good business entity. You can sell the pupa, value Addition of flour and oils and give you good Fertilizer that is a good pesticide.
