Cshep participated in training organised by Pelum Kenya in Nakuru on cross-border trade. The objective of the training was to learn about cross-border trading, opportunities in cross-trading of agro-ecological produce, barriers in cross-border trade, certifications such as KEBS and organic certifications, and statutory requirements for agricultural goods.
We also got an opportunity to visit Bee, my partner farm. This is a training centre in Njoro that integrates apiculture, poultry farming, Black Soldier Fly farming (BSF) and Azolla farming. A lot of biodiversity can be seen and is impactful for a farmer and improves their livelihood with a diverse source of income.
