An Exposure Visit in Limuru

Value addition plays a huge role in post-harvest loss of farm produce. We recently visited Cheer Up, an NGO based in Limuru, Matathia, on an exposure visit to learn how they are working with the community to learn about adding value to green leafy vegetables. Farmers learnt about the importance of drying your vegetables, nutrition, record keeping, farm planning and standard operating procedures in a solar dryer and a tour of the farm. To ensure we are food secure, we can always add value to our farm produce.
